BOARD MEETINGS -- WHPOA board meetings, which are open to residents of Whispering Hills, are held the second Tuesday of each month. These meetings are held at board members homes (rotating). Let the President or Vice President know of your desire to attend.

Deed Renewals -- In the coming days, property owners will receive a notice regarding the renewal of the Whispering Hills Subdivision Deed Restrictions. Texas State Law requires that the deed restrictions be renewed and filed with the State every 10 years (at a minimum). Without valid deed restrictions in place, the POA has little or no authority to prevent the construction of unsightly/noncompliant buildings, the presence of modular or mobile homes, the establishment of commercial enterprises, or the presence of certain farm animals, each of which could adversely affect the current property values. In the past number of years, the POA has been successful in preventing some of these from happening. This document is our tool of enforcement.
Property owners will be provided a ballot for their vote to renew or not renew the restrictions. We do not need unanimous approval but a simple majority. We would hope that each property owner replies as quickly as possible so that we can properly tabulate the results and carry on with the filing (if approved).
As a side note, Texas Law also states that a subdivision of our size requires 100%, unanimous approval for making any changes to the deed restrictions. This info is offered as an answer to a question that many will have...how do we change the current restrictions?
